01 · Our Story

Two homes,
one fire

We are five friends from Kenya — a builder, a numbers man, a storyteller, a musician, an engineer — five different lives that always found their way back to the same table. We learned young that the best things are slow ones: a long afternoon, good company, a glass poured neat as the sun goes down.

Our lives moved between worlds. Mexico’s golden coasts and long, unhurried evenings — and the very same waiting for us back home. Twice we found paradise, and each time it felt like the other.

The longer we looked, the more the two became one. Los Altos de Jalisco and the highlands of Mount Kenya — both born of fire. The same red volcanic earth, the same thin mountain air, the same people who pour for a stranger as if for family. Two countries an ocean apart, telling a single story.

From that kinship came Tierra Lumbre — land of fire. Agave grown slow at altitude in Jalisco, hand-harvested and distilled the patient way. 100% agave, additive-free, nothing to hide. Blanco, reposado, añejo — three expressions, one fire.

Made to be sipped, never rushed. Poured with the same pride in Nairobi and Jalisco — and now, at your table.

02 · Heritage

Ancient fire,
made modern

Before the cellar, before the still — there was the sun. Our mark is a fragment of the Aztec calendar stone: broken, yet eternal.

Tierra Lumbre is a tequila that carries the memory of the earth that made it — pure agave, alive with the spirit of the highlands. From the bright clarity of our blanco to the oak-softened depth of our añejo, every expression is drawn with the same unhurried patience.

We make it in Mexico, the way it has always been made. We pour it for the world’s most discerning tables.

“To drink it is to taste the place — the red earth, the thin mountain air, the long patience of the agave.”— The House of Tierra Lumbre

03 · Origin

The volcanic
highlands

From Los Altos de Jalisco, where the soil runs red with iron and the agave drinks the cool of the mountains.

At altitude, the blue agave ripens slowly — sweeter, more deliberate, more complete. It is harvested by hand, by jimadores who read each plant as their fathers did, and roasted in stone before it ever meets the still.

04 · The Spirit

Three expressions

One fire, drawn into three — from crystal-clear and unrested to deep and time-softened in oak.

Tierra Lumbre Blanco tequila bottle

Blanco

Crystal-clear and unrested. Bottled at its brightest — pure agave, citrus, and white pepper.

Tierra Lumbre Reposado tequila bottle

Reposado

Rested in oak for months. Amber-gold, softened to honey, vanilla, and toasted earth.

Tierra Lumbre Añejo tequila bottle

Añejo

Aged long and slow. Deep mahogany — caramel, dried fruit, and embered spice.

05 · Tasting

On the palate

Notes for the table — read it slowly, pour it slower.

i · Nose

The First Breath

Cooked agave and white pepper, citrus blossom rising over warm wet stone.

ii · Palate

The Body

Silken and bright — green herbs, a thread of mineral salt, a glow of ripe lime and earth.

iii · Finish

The Ember

Long and clean, gently peppered, leaving the quiet heat its name was given for.

06 · The Ritual

How to serve

No salt, no rush. A spirit this honest is meant to be met on its own terms.

I

Neat & Cool

Serve at cellar temperature, never iced. Cold mutes the agave; warmth lets it speak.

II

The Vessel

A narrow tasting glass — a copita or veladora — to gather the aroma and honour the pour.

III

The Moment

Sip, don’t shoot. Let the first taste settle, then return. The fire reveals itself slowly.
